Hi!

My name is Kanishka Perera and Im an Artist from Sydney, Australia.

I like to draw loosely with lots of expression, energy, colour and caricature. I like to combine traditional and digital tools to express a sense of feeling and stylisation rather than photo realism. I like seeing the playful side of life and hope my art feels that way too.

I started my creative career in the very serious Construction Industry as a Junior Architect but eventually found my way into the Animation and Advertising Industry working on Concept Art, Vis Dev and Storyboards. Some highlights include projects with FIFA, BBC, abc and Netflix.

Some of my Inspirations include Olle Eskell, Miroslav Sasek, Quentin Blake and the American Caricaturist Ronald Searle. I am a storyteller at heart and finding a way to express a feeling that connects with people is what I like to do best.
